Opera Theatre Workshop is a two-week, highly intensive pre-professional training program offering a multi-faceted approach to the art of
opera performance. The workshop provides undergraduate and graduate students opportunities that will help prepare them for entry into this
competitive field. Skills such as stage movement, costuming, make-up and the application of acting techniques unique to the operatic genre
are covered, in addition to vocal technique. Meet the 2006 Workshop Faculty
Application Information
A $25 non-refundable fee is due with your application. This will be applied toward your tuition if you are accepted to the program. If your
singing is not known to the University of Kentucky voice faculty, please send a tape, which includes at least two numbers, with your application.
The tape need not be of professionally recorded caliber. A recent photo is also requested. This is to assist in casting for the scenes program
which will be presented before a live audience at the end of the workshop. Applications must be received no later than April 28, 2006.
Notification of acceptance will be made by approximately May 5, 2006. Tuition for the workshop is $600.00. This does not include lodging or meals.
Dormitory housing is available at a nominal cost. A limited amount of scholarship money is available. A request for scholarship money must accompany
